Free sports data. Every prediction stored before the game, graded after.
Short answers first. Each sport has its own FAQ too: NBA FAQ · NFL FAQ · Maine HS basketball FAQ. Words we use are explained in the glossary.
What is niftiIQ?
niftiIQ is a free sports data site: Maine high school standings and playoff pictures, plus NFL and NBA game predictions that are stored before every game and graded after it, in public. It's made in Biddeford, Maine, by Nifti Mobility Group.
What sports does niftiIQ cover?
Maine high school football, cross country and basketball, the NFL, and the NBA. NBA picks start on opening night, Tuesday, October 20, 2026; Maine high school basketball covers the 2026-27 winter season.
Is niftiIQ free?
Yes: scores, standings, schedules and predictions are free. niftiIQ Plus adds what-if tools, playoff paths with chances and deeper team pages; plans and prices are on the Plus page.
How are niftiIQ predictions graded?
Every prediction is stored with a time stamp before the game starts and is never edited. After the final, it's graded right or wrong, and each sport has a public record page listing every graded pick, along with the Brier score and calibration.
Are niftiIQ's Maine standings official?
No. The Maine Principals' Association (MPA) publishes the official standings. niftiIQ recomputes them from published results with the MPA's own formulas (the Crabtree Index for football, Heal points for basketball) and checks them against the MPA's numbers. niftiIQ isn't affiliated with the MPA.
What does "est." mean on niftiIQ?
"est." means estimate. Every win chance, projection and playoff chance on niftiIQ is a model estimate, not a promise, so no chance is ever shown as certain: the smallest is "<1%" and the largest ">99%".
Is niftiIQ betting advice?
No. Nothing on niftiIQ is betting, financial or legal advice, and niftiIQ takes no referral, affiliate or sponsorship money from any betting site, exchange or market. Predictions are published to show how well the models work.
Where does niftiIQ's data come from?
Public sources, checked against official results. Each sport's How it works page explains its method and data.
Does niftiIQ write about individual high school players?
No. For high school sports niftiIQ covers teams only: no player stats, rankings or photos of students.
